Home Tips How to Protect Your Skin While on Vacation?

You can’t wait to enjoy the free days, the sun and the sea? We get you! We dream about this moment the whole year. Make sure you prepared your sun kit so you can live every summer memory at its best. You don’t need to make extra efforts, you’ll have to stick to your routine and add extra precautions.

Tip 1. Sun Protection

Sunscreen is especially important during your vacation when you’re out in the sun often. Make sure to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. If you’re hitting the beach or pool, use a water-resistant sunscreen and reapply after swimming. Don’t forget to apply it on your feet and ears as well.

Tip 2: Hydrate

Drinking fluids is crucial to staying healthy and maintaining the function of every system in your body, including your heart, brain, and muscles. An easy way to stay hydrated gradually is drinking water or juices and eating water-rich foods such as salads, fruit, and applesauce.

Tip 3. Avoid the Sun During Peak Hours

When someone is determined to get a tan, they are usually going to try and tan during the peak hours of the day, which are from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Doing so, however, can cause damaging UV rays to infiltrate the skin and expedite the aging process.

Tip 4. Always moisturize after (and even before) you have been out in the sun

Moisturizing your skin can help it to retain and regain some of the vitality and moisture that it has lost when out in the sun.

Tip 5. Keep a Hat and Sunglasses on You at All Times

Facial skin is extremely sensitive, so taking extra means of precaution to avoid burning is always encouraged.

Tip 6. Don’t panic – get aloe vera

If you already burnt your skin, you can soak in a cool bath with baking soda. It calms down your angry skin. After that, you should apply some aloe vera on your skin. It is well known for its soothing effects.

Enjoy your hot summer days and don’t forget to take care of your body.
