Children under 7 years old have free lift passes if they are accompanied by a skiing adult.<\/p>\n

3. La Clusaz, France<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The great advantage of this area is its localization. It’s under an hour’s drive from the Geneva airport and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Kids under 5 years old have free access, while kids under 14 years old have day passes that cost less than $40 per day. You can also find affordable accommodation there. We recommend booking a room at La Ferme, a cozy hotel near the mountain.<\/p>\n

4. Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Austria\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Austria is highly recommended for ski trips. Kids 9 and under receive free lift tickets at the Tirol resort. It’s a good area for beginners, the accommodation is affordable and you can do tobogganing and ice skating, not just skiing. There are lots of hotels in the area that offer all inclusive-packages and discounts for ski rentals.<\/p>\n

5. Vialattea, Italy<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This area is about 1.5 hours away from Turin and it is considered to be one of the best ski resorts for families. You’ll find all-inclusive packages which include: rentals, lifts passes, daycare for children ages 4 to 10.<\/p>\n

Travellers with young skiers should base themselves in the resort of\u00a0Val Cenis, which spans the small township of Lanslebourg-Mont-C\u00e9nis, rural-boho Lanslevillard, and remote Bonneval (which suits intermediate to advanced skiers). Val Cenis boasts numerous slopes that are ideal for beginners, including the longest continuous green piste in France, and blue runs that meander down the mountain from 2800m.<\/p>\n

Accommodation in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise ski valley ranges from cosy self-catering chalets to sleek apartments sharing a pool (from around \u20ac220 a night for a family of four).\u00a0Train travel\u00a0from London to Modane takes around nine hours, or you can fly into\u00a0Grenoble,\u00a0Chamb\u00e9ry\u00a0or\u00a0Turin\u00a0(Italy).
